DESCRIPTION

The Ground Air Conditioning System GACS is specifically designed to prepare outdoor air to be used as payload conditioned air.  The unit can cool, heat and dry its supply air so that its output air is acceptable for use as payload cooling air.

The design conditions for which the unit was engineered are as follows.

Provide 200 SCFM (900 pounds/hour) of conditioned air to the payload fairing at a dry bulb temperature (DB) of 50°F and a dew point (DP) of 20°F (30% RH) when operated in ambient conditions less than 90°F DB / 80°F WB (75% RH) or equivalent.  The GACS is capable of providing conditioned air to the payload fairing over a user selectable range of dry bulb temperatures and dew points as defined below.
